Claude Dashboards: Plain-language reports, still in beta

Claude Dashboards builds live dashboards from company data and is available on paid plans. The company positions it as a tool for exploratory analysis, not a proven replacement for analysts or developers.

Claude Dashboards: Reports requested in plain language—still in beta

Claude Dashboards lets you request internal reports in plain language without writing database queries yourself. According to the company, dashboards update as source data changes. Supported sources include BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, ClickHouse, and Salesforce’s customer relationship management system.

For business leaders, three capabilities stand out:

  • Compare periods, such as this week’s signups against last month’s.
  • Check calculations: click a number to see its underlying query or ask Claude to explain it. Each chart shows its last refresh time.
  • Send dashboards to analytics tools such as Grafana, Hex, or Sigma for deeper analysis.

This complements business intelligence systems; it is not a proven replacement. The feature remains in beta, and the announcement provides no report-accuracy data or measured time savings. Dashboards is unavailable on the Free plan.

How to test it on your own report

You need a paid Claude plan and a connected company data source. On Enterprise, an administrator must first enable the feature in Organization settings → Artifacts.

  1. Connect a supported source and open Claude.
  2. Ask: “Build a dashboard of this quarter’s revenue by region.”
  3. Open the query behind a key number, check the reporting period and refresh time, then compare the result with your usual report.

This test can help you assess whether the tool fits a specific report before sharing it with your team.
